LOOKING FOR A JOB? BEWARE…

January 17, 2008

A lot of people aiming for a good high salary job, especially for those not satisfied with their job here in our country and looking forward to find job abroad.

Looking for a new  job now a days is easy you can find it in  leading newspaper like MANILA BULLETIN, PHILIPPINE STAR, INQUIRER in their CLASSIFIED ADS section especially their Sunday issue . And another method of job seeking is here in INTERNET you can find a lot of websites like JOBS DB, JOBFINDER,  JOBCENTRAL,  MONSTER  and a lot more you also can use POEA and   GOOGLE if you want to look more websites that offers JOBS all you have to do is register in their websites and upload your RESUME….

In every websites that you register there is also a corresponding COMPANIES looking for their prospective APPLICANT, and if your qualified they will email or contact you.

If you will reply to their email and accept their offer they will send you the list of BENEFITS  like high SALARY, FREE ACCOMMODATION, HEALTH INSURANCE.. etc.. etc….you will get from their company and the contract for you to sign. the next step they will ask you is to send your SCAN PASSPORT, CERTIFICATES and other documents they needed.

But BEWARE of the employer or companies using YAHOO MAIL, or any other email that not shown the company their working for..

Most of the emails not using a valid email address they are absolutely FAKE.

You know why? they will ask you to PAY  for your own VISA  processing and they will send you a corresponding name and address of a person to SEND the MONEY they needed in order to process you visa.

I had a friend whom looking for a JOB in in internet ,and she tried to email an Engineer from United Kingdom who is looking for a FILIPINA NANNY, at first everything is ok he offered a lot of BENEFITS which is really TEMPTING and TO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

Here is the sample of the message from the employer  whom looking for a NANNY online.

" You are now authorized to make payment to the below information via WESTERN UNION or MONEY GRAM. We shall continue to process your visa immediately we confirm your payment, Kindly scan  the payment receipt once you make the payment.  Your employer told our management that you would only be responsible for the half payment which is 625.00 Great Britain Pounds."

The conversion of 625 pounds to PESO is almost P50,000

After she got the message today i told her to stop dreaming to work in UK because this kind of  message, asking her to send MONEY to process her VISA  and don’t even know the details of the said person.

I wrote this article to let you know that this is another STYLE of  SCAM in INTERNET.

I hope that you can share this information to your friends, relative or any person that you know.

beware of scams. always check if some opportunity is a scam especially if it’s too good to be true…it probably is. :D
